All students in our dance classes will be enrolled until the end of the 2025 School Year unless you email us a 30-Day Drop Request.
Our Dance program is designed to create the atmosphere where children can build their self esteem and express themselves through the art of dance. We offer a wide variety of dance classes such as Hip-Hop, Tap and Ballet and our dance teachers will help every child to prepare and perform their dancing skills for our annual Recital at the end of each school year. So, come and enjoy our dance classes!

What to Wear for Dance Class???
First Year Ballerinas: Tights and a Ballet dress – these can be purchased at Walmart, Kohls, Dance Village or on-line. Ballet Slippers should be pink (leather) and can be found at Dance Village Store – 171 Spencer Street, Manchester, CT.
Hip Hop students should wear comfortable sporty dance wear such as leggings, athletic tops, tee shirts. Proper footwear is a must! Hip Hop dance Sneakers can be purchased at Dance Village store in Manchester or on line at sites such as discountdance.com
Tap students should dress comfortably. Tap Shoes are required and can be purchased at Dance Village.
Overall we ask our students to explore the variety of options available to dance students when it comes to appropriate Dance Class Wear. Dancers will stretch and be on the floor. No Jeans, No Dresses, No Shorts…

Our Teacher
Miss Lisa
Lisa Seise has been teaching dance at our program since 2004. She studied under Betty Jane Turner as a teenager and went on to major in dance at Hunter College in New York City. There Lisa also sang and danced in Cabaret and off-broadway settings as well as performing in Dinner Theatre. She was cast in Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular while in New York. Lisa found her niche working with children and choreographing for recital and competition pieces as well as local Senior citizen productions and community theatre.

The owners of Silk City Gymnastics and Dance, Lazar and Illiana have been competitive gymnasts and world class circus performers. In addition to their long list of international competitions, they have performed around the world in Cuba, Korea, Europe, United States, including Las Vegas!! As a result of their international experience on three continents, they bring a new energy and a wonderful resume of stage insights to our program.
